Web company 7thgroove and RE:FORM Body Clinic in Ottawa are proud to announce a new elite women's cycling team with hubs in Ottawa and Toronto.  Allison Lampi and Julia Farell (Miranda Athletics) will manage the team.

"Our vision and passion is to compete successfully at the highest levels of the sport, and to grow the sport by providing opportunities for elite women to ride and compete within an experienced women's team."

The 7thgroove/RE:FORM Body Clinic Cycling Team will look to Canadian UCI races, select US National Calendar criterium and stage races, and high quality regional races as its primary targets for the upcoming season.

The roster includes veteran racers Jennifer Stephenson and Julia Farell, young and talented Kiwi Emma Petersen and Allison Lampi, all former members of Team Ultralink, and welcomes Christiane Knobbe, Michelle Gauthier, and Jessica Lloy.  Samantha Warskett, personal trainer and former professional cyclist, will be the team's Director Sportif.

With momentum and experience from the previous three years and a number of returning riders from Team Ultralink, the team has returned with new sponsors and fantastic community support.

"We couldn't resist the opportunity to support our own professional women's cycling team!" said Dr. Martin Zollinger, chiropractor and founder of RE:FORM Body Clinic and former professional cyclist. "These women embody the philosophy of our clinic: perseverance, dedication and hard work. Working with competitive athletes sharpens our skills as health care practitioners - and that means even better care for everyone who comes to RE:FORM. We're excited to contribute to the team's success and help them achieve their goals at the highest levels of the sport."

Ken Power, owner of Cycle Power in Ottawa, will be providing bicycles and mechanical assistance: "Working with this team will help build on our knowledge of women's specific needs for performance cycling so that we continue to provide exceptional service and advice to women who are serious about getting into cycling. As cycling fans, we are excited to cheer for our team from the local Grand Prix to the highest level races in North America."

Additional sponsors Christine Schloen RMT, La Vie en Forme (Chelsea), Outdoor Gear Canada and Biemme and supporters such as CycleLogik Racing, Sheri Jay, and many others have made the 2010 team a reality.
