TNA Westside Cycling Classic 2010 presented by Shape Properties & Mosaic Homes

The Wedgewood Cycling Team proudly welcomes back principal sponsors for this year’s race.

The Wedgewood Cycling Team presents its sixth annual road race on Sunday June 6th 2010; the TNA Westside Cycling Classic presented by Shape Properties & Mosaic Homes. Returning to the scenic route surrounding Pacific Spirit Park near the University of British Columbia, the race will again be set against a spectacular backdrop of the Pacific Ocean and the Coastal Mountains and will attract racers from around the Pacific Northwest and Canada anxious to compete in one of Canada’s premier cycling events.

This year the race will again be the cornerstone of the BC Cup series of Race and include the popular Masters race and the return of the Category 4 women's race.

Category Laps Distance Start
Masters A/B/C, Jr Men 8 84 km 7:30am
Men 4/5 7 73.5 km 7:40am
Women 4 4 42 km 7:42am
Senior Men (Cat 1-3) 12 126 km 10:15am
Senior Women (Cat 1-3) 8 84 km 10:30am

"Last year we heard from many women who were disappointed that we were unable to support a Cat 4 Women's Race so this year we are pleased to announce that this category will be back on the schedule and we are hoping for strong support in this area" said Event Director Jonathan Wornell.

The race on Sunday June 6, 2010 will again be a primary fund raising initiative for the Wedgewood Cycling Team, in support of the BC Cancer Foundation. Funds raised this year will go towards helping the fight against Cancer in British Columbia.
