February 16/11 10:48 am - Women's Mad & Rad Skillz Weekend a Grand Success

Posted by Editoress on 02/16/11

Joyride150 Indoor Bike Park, a 90,000sq/ft indoor biking facility, for bike riders of all disciplines & skill levels, hosted their inaugural Women's Weekend on February 4th and 5th.

Over 130 women of all ages and riding abilities came together to ride and get biking tips from experienced coaches. Ladies rolled in from across Canada and the U.S. to attend the two-day session that provided riding, instruction, food, drinks, swag, prizes and, most of all, a fun and supportive environment.

Joyride150 featured skills workshops in various areas of the park so that women could conquer their fears and learn to ride such things as beginner/sport/expert skinnies, a foam pit and resi jump, rhythms and jump lines, the BMX street park, pump/race tracks, the cross-country loop with climbs and obstacles and much more. There was also a "Learn To Ride" clinic for those that were new to riding. All types of riders and skill levels were shown a good time.
