What do you get when you mix a super-sized helping of twisty, flowing downhill with a bit of climbing, all set within a luscious garden of winding singletrack resurrected amid the long-forgotten trails of Belcarra? The John Henry West Coast Super D on April 10th.

Legendary BC mountain biking supporters John Henry Bikes, Ryders Eyewear and Schwalbe Tires are combining with event organizer West Coast Racing to help bring you a heap of swag and prizes. Now in its third year, this event has brought together downhillers and cross country racers in a unique format to battle it out for bragging rights as who is the best rider. This event is run as a time trial and fast times are expected between 10 to 15 minutes.

West Coast Racing has a new course sections for this year! Look for more juicy singletrack - just one climb but expect a few new roots, routes, rocks and rolls! The John Henry West Coast Super D is a perfect way to open the local mountain biking race season with a course suitable for all riders, and all bike types.

The main event information page www.westcoastracing.ca/superd provides elevation profile and estimated finish times. Until April 3rd we have early bird fees of only $15 for pre-registered riders who have a Cycling BC Citizen or UCI license, or only $20 for non-licensed riders.

West Coast Racing is a community cycling club operating as a not-for-profit society run entirely by volunteers from within its membership. Various outdoor and indoor cycling programs are run by West Coast Racing year-round for mountain bikers, road riders, and cyclocrossers. West Coast racing also provides its 13th season of outdoor Power Training fitness program.  West Coast Racing is also the organizer of the Cardiac Classic BC Cup XC at Burnaby Mountain on June 26th, and the BC Cup stalwart Vanier Park BC Cup Cyclocross Classic in the fall of 2011.
