We are pleased to publish the Canadian Cyclist Fantasy Tour - sponsored by Specialized standings after Week Two of this year's Tour de France. We have a one week delay in publishing the standings, due to the Landis Rule, which requires waiting to see if there were any positive results from anti-doping testing during that week. Sadly, there was, with Frank Schleck (Radioshack-Nissan) receiving an adverse finding on July 14th; the final day of Week Two. Anyone who had chosen Schleck for their team received a 20 point penalty.
The standings at the end of Week Two saw the top two players from Week One reverse their positions, with hatchbackattack taking a slim one point lead over Week One winner saganoffantasy. Hatchbackattack now leads after Week Two with 226 points. However, the contest for the final grand prize of a Specialized Tarmac, Roubaix or Ruby bike is far from over, with four riders within five points of the lead, and eight within ten points.
Hatchbackattack receives a pair of Specialized Roubaix tires worth $120, while saganoffantasy gets their choice of either a Specialized Jett Comp or Avatar Comp saddle.
