September 19/15 10:24 am - UCI Suspends Blaza Klemencic after Re-testing 2012 Sample

The latest list of provisionally suspended athletes contains the name of Slovenian Elite cross-country woman Blaza Klemencic, stating an adverse analytical finding for EPO from a sample collected on March 27th, 2012.  At the time, Klemencic rode for Felt Otzal X Bionic.

Klemencic was Slovenia's top finisher at the 2015 mountain Bike Worlds two weeks ago in 15th.  Slovenia is currently ranked seventh in the country rankings, but if Klemencic's 880 points are removed they would drop to 19th,   possibly affecting their chances for an Olympic spot.
