The Forest City Velodrome is excited to bring Saturday Night racing to the small track in London, Ontario, for the third time this year on December 19th. Racing will be available for racers of all abilities to race in A, B, C, Women and Youth categories.
We are expecting a full complement of riders taking to the boards for a fast night of action as the Kallisto/FCV team plays their home team advantage against the Team NCCH p/b DEC Express team. The #redteam will battle the #orangewave in a fun night of racing.
Rick Lee, Head Coach, said, "Team NCCH p/b DEC Express will continue its rivalry with Kallisto/FCV on December 19th. This rivalry lifts riders to a new level, and we can’t wait to lock horns with them again in this fast and furious 'short track' racing."
Art Adams, Head Coach, said, "Kallisto-FCV will ride the boards of our home track with authority. The #redteam intends to send the #orangewave back to Hamilton as a puddle."
Mark Buckaway, Race Director said, "Racing will start at 7pm Saturday night, and feature a sprint tournament. It will be a full house Saturday as two of the best teams in Ontario take to the boards of the shortest permanent indoor velodrome in the world. Racing is for all categories and all teams are welcome. Pre-registration for racing is highly recommended."
The audio from the show will be broadcast at live.forestcityvelodrome.ca starting at 7pm.
Race registration online is $30 in advance. Doors open at 5:30pm. Tickets for the audience are available at the door for $10 for adults, $5 for youth and seniors, and kids are always free.
The complete race schedule and registration information is available at forestcityvelodrome.ca/race_calendar.php.
The Forest City Velodrome is a non-profit, volunteer run, track cycling organization that runs the shortest permanent indoor cycling track in the world at 138m. All proceeds from racing go to support the operation of the track.
