Canadians Win at Tour d'Afrique

Canadians won both the men's and women's categories in stage 16, as Sam Bail of Toronto continued to ride strong sharing the men's title for the third straight day. Geraldine Paques (Vancouver) got her first stage win on a day that was highlighted by the raging dust storm that racers were forced to ride through.

In 2006 the Okanagan Valley will be able to follow road cycling in a new way. A group of local athletes with the support of local businesses have formed the Total Restoration Cycling Team. Set to become the Okanagan's first true elite cycling team built from Okanagan based cycling talents this team will compete on the local, provincial and national cycling scene.

The team will consist of Okanagan athletes who will compete in the BC Cup race series (professionals and semi-professionals).
