Fast Twitch Cycling Announces 2006 Roster

3 World Cup Track Cyclists Spearhead this 11-Member Team For Regional, National, and International Racing Calendar

Quorum Pharmaceuticals, Synergy Health Management Ltd., and Saija Connor, manager of the Fast Twitch Cycling Team, announced today the 2006 roster for this elite Canadian cycling team.

Fast Twitch Cycling (www.racingincircles.ca), which will begin the 2006 racing season on the road at the Escape Velocity Spring Series, has evolved from a small regional club in Victoria, BC, into a highly competitive, international track team determined to leave its impact at track and road events throughout Canada and the US in 2006.

Team manager, Saija Connor is enthusiastic about the racing calendar this year – "I'm looking forward to an awesome year. I know that this team will blow minds!".

Fast Twitch Cycling riders for 2006 are:

Keith Bruneau – Widely regarded as the country's best match sprint technician, Keith heads up the Fast Twitch Cycling track team, bringing experience, talent, and vision to the mix.

Matt Barlee – Riding high after his first World Cup in LA this year, Matt brings enthusiasm, strength, and focus to the team. Matt has stood on the podium at every track race he entered in 2005, and wears several provincial championship jerseys, which he hopes to upgrade to national championships this year.

Matt Chater – 2004 National Keirin champion, Matt raced in several World Cup events in 2005, culminating in his appearance at the 2005 PamAm games in Argentina..

Glenn Barr – A strong road and track rider, Glenn will spend the year learning from the team, as well as pursuing Criterium racing in the Pacific Northwest.

Vinko Poldrugovac – A powerful, explosive road and track rider, Vinko will continue to focus on the track in 2006, to further advance his solid performances in sprint events in 2005.

Ryan Arbuckle – A triple gold medal performance at the 2005 National Paralympic Championships, and three bronze medals at the CP-SRA World Championships demonstrates the drive and determination of this young athlete.

Charles Durrant – A gold and two silvers at the World Masters Games, Charles is a dominant force on the track. His many years of experience make him a threat in both the masters and elite men's categories.

Andy George – Two silver and two bronze medals at the 2005 World Masters Games, Andy is a solid all-rounder on the track whose age and experience bring further depth to the Fast Twitch Cycling track team.

Mark Butschler – The third Masters rider on the team, Mark brings short distance speed and long distance staying power to the team.

Chris Anstey – The most senior of the Masters riders, Chris is the 2004 World Champion in his age category, and claimed 4 gold medals at the 2005 World Masters Games.

Danielle McLaughlin – With multiple first place finishes in Pacific Northwest criteriums and a solid performance at the Provincial Track Championship in 2005, Danielle is the only woman to toe the line for this team. Danielle is a strong Track and Crit rider, who plans to focus on track sprint events in 2006.

Quorum Pharmaceuticals (www.westernallergy.com), is a division of Western Allergy Services, which began in 1972 to service allergy professionals and their patients with the highest quality immunotherapy and allergy diagnostic material available. The company has developed with a clear focus on service, and strives to meet and exceed the needs of its customers.
