Team Cove Bikes continues its tradition of national championships, world class results and freeride free-for-all with another rock-solid roster for the 2006 season.

Leading the charge is Canadian national downhill champion, Red Bull Mt. 7 Psychosis Race winner and Crankworx legend, Tyler Morland.

"The program is looking great for the season," Morland says. "The bikes, the Sram partnership and the riders have never looked stronger. This season is going to be sick."

Backing Morland is Andrew Mitchell - the fastest ranked Canadian junior DH racer for 2005, and sixth-place world championship finisher.

Danika Schroeter will also wave the Cove flag. After three-years of Canada Cup dominance she says she's stoked to finally merge with the Cove crew.

"It's pretty cool to buy your first mountain bike from a local company and then race the World Cups for them six years later."

Dustin Adams will be returning after a two-year hiatus. In addition to competing in select races, the former Norba racer and two time Canadian national champion will work heavily with R&D at Cove.

Rounding out the speedy group is Steve Smith entering his first year as junior on the heels of excellent results as a U-17 rider last season.

On the freeride flip-side, Geoff Gulevich's smooth and buttery style needs no introduction. The young buck is developing leaps and bounds and is a consistent threat on the international freeride circuit. He will be paired with team newcomer Ben Boyco who comes with a huge bag of tricks.

The team is focusing on key events around the world for 2006. Highlights include Whistler Crankworx, World Cups, Slopestyles around the Globe.

"I'm really stoked with the team we've put together and it looks like it will be a year of killer results," said Cove marketing manager Gabe Fox. "We're looking forward to a great summer, the program has never looked stronger."

Cove Bikes is a North Shore born-and-bred manufacturer of high-end freeride bikes. From its inception as a core local bike shop, Cove consistently leads the industry with progression and innovation.
