Cyclelogik Racing announced its 2006 roster and the addition of Serono Canada as a new title sponsor. Building on its 2005 success of 64 podium finishes and 24 victories, this year's team counts several veterans in its roster as well as some new additions to add more junior and women riders to the mix.

Returning riders include Mike Flavell who took 10th place in the 2005 Ontario Junior Road Race Championships, Tricia Spooner, second overall at the North American Masters Road Championships and David Gazsi, third overall at the North American Masters Road Championships. The team is pleased to count Sarah Coney, 2005 Ontario Junior Individual Time Trial Champion, among its new additions.

"Serono is excited by the opportunity to support amateur athletics while increasing visibility of our company to a broad cross-section of cycling enthusiasts. Investing in this team allows us to show our commitment to education for Multiple Sclerosis, while concurrently supporting the type of healthy and active lifestyle that we promote for our company and for people with MS from coast to coast," said Ross Glover, marketing director at Serono Canada.

The team's schedule will focus on major Ottawa events such as the Ottawa Bicycle Club (OBC) Grand Prix and the Italian Festival Grand Prix. Beyond Ottawa, the focus will primarily be Ontario and Quebec Cups, Provincial Championships and major regional races, including Green Mountain in Vermont and the National Championships in Quebec City. Le Tour d'Abitibi will also be a major focus for the juniors.

Plans for 2006 also include expanded community involvement and a commitment to junior cycling and racing, including mentoring junior riders.

"The support from Serono is fantastic, and really leverages our store's existing commitment to the MS Tours," said Ian Fraser, co-owner of the Cyclelogik store. "The MS Tour in Ottawa has been a key focus or our community support, and working together with Serono, we're excited to build on our contributions to this critical fundraising series of events. We hope everyone in the area will be able to support the Ottawa leg of the MS Tour, August 12-13 of this coming summer." Serono Canada joins Cyclelogik as the team's co-title sponsor. In addition to Serono, the team is pleased to announce several new sponsors, including Maxxis, Endurance Nutrition, Louis Garneau, and Wavertree. These organizations join a list of valuable returning sponsors who made the team's 2005 success possible including Vincent Clifford-Barrister, Time, Smith, Otto's Subaru, HyperNet, Rolf Prima, Opus and Westboro Chiropractic.
