Canadian Children's Cycling Foundation - Charity Fashion Show

On Friday June 2nd, the Canadian Children's Cycling Foundation (CCCF) will be holding its debut event to raise money for children's cycling. The event is being held at Revival Bar located on 783 College Street in Toronto. The night will host an active wear fashion show with male and female models showcasing clothing lines including: Fox Clothing, Sugoi, MEC, Activa, and Orb.

The CCCF's mandate is to raise awareness for children's cycling while raising funds to purchase and distribute new/and or used bikes with helmets to inner city youth who do not have the means to do so themselves.

The CCCF has partnered with Toronto's Two Wheel Drive program and Toronto's Children's Breakfast Club - in order to distribute the bicycles and helmets to at risk youth and underprivileged children in the GTA. The CCCF 's goal for 2006 is to raise enough money to distribute at least 100 bikes with helmets across Toronto. The CCCF will also be involved in Bicycle Rodeo's where children are taught road signs

The CCCF was founded by David Ryce and Matthew Morrish as a way for both individuals to give back to a sport that has given them so much.

"We both wanted to help out and see the continued growth of an amazing sport that everyone can enjoy. We realized that the most amazing memories we had were on our bikes as children - so we figured we would start there."

The CCCF is determined to see the next generation of cyclists share, enjoy and create the same excitement and memories that they have. Whether it was exploring a new trail for the first time or finally riding without training wheels, we all have cycling memories - the CCCF wants to make sure that the next generation will also be able to enjoy our great sport.

So come one come all and check out a great event - with all proceeds going to support children's cycling. Tickets are $15.00 directly from David or Matthew. Or $20.00 online at www.ticketbreak.ca
