Not surprisingly, a number of Tour de France riders have vaulted up the ProTour rankings, led by winner Floyd Landis (Phonak), who moved into second place. The only Canadian with ProTour points is Ryder Hesjedal (Phonak), who dropped to 58th (since his last ProTour race was before the Tour). In the country rankings we are 18th in the ProTour, 15th in the Women's rankings and 10th in the Americas Continental Tour. Moving up much higher in either the women's or ProTour rankings is not too likely. This means that Canada is likely to get one starter for the men's race at the Worlds. There is no qualification for the women - every nation can enter 12 women and start six.
