As you will observe, there is a new logo at the top of our page for the 1998 Cyclo-cross National Championships. Click on it for more information about the National Championships. We spoke with defending women's champion Chrissy Redden, who promises I'll be ready and roaring to defend the cross title at Centennial this year, but we still have to ensure enough representation comes from across the country. Champions of Cycling Awards Gala '98

Thursday, December 10 at the Ocean Pointe Resort, Victoria

6 pm - Reception and Silent Auction
7 pm - Dinner
8-9:30 - National Cycling Awards
9:30 - 12:00 - Dance to "Ultra" - a live band featuring the amazing vocals of local cyclist, Chrissy Southern, or network in the reception lounge with the who's who of cycling in Canada! (If you can't be there, we will - with a digital camera...)

This event is a fundraiser for the National Cycling Centre. Tickets are $60 per person in advance, $75 after November 27. Dress is semi-formal, black tie optional.

A presentation of the Canadian Cycling Assocation, Cycling BC, The Victoria International Bicycle Race Society, The Greater Victoria Velodrome Association and the Commonwealth Centre for Sport Development.

P.S. This year, the Canadian Cyclist of the Year Awards will be presented at the Gala. The voting for the Awards will begin next week, so stay tuned.
