ProMOTION Plus, Coaches Association of BC and the BC Games Society have joined forces to address the inequity in the number of male and female coaches in the sport system. Its new Coach Mentor/Apprentice program will pair up experienced coaches with women who are interested in pursuing a career in coaching or in developing their training to a higher level. The goal is to increase the number of qualified female coaches starting at the club and provincial level and moving toward the national and international level in the future. The program is currently in the developmental stage, and will be fully operational by the summer of 2007.

To express your interest in becoming a mentor or an apprentice, contact: info@promotionplus.org with "Coaches Mentor/Apprentice program" in the subject line.
