Nominations for the 2006 International Olympic Committee Trophy

The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) is now accepting nominations for the 2006 International Olympic Committee (IOC) Trophy - Sport and the Community.

The IOC Trophy is offered each year to National Olympic Committees under a different title. In 2006, the IOC is providing each National Olympic Committee with the opportunity to recognize a person or institution for their outstanding contribution and commitment to promoting and assisting the development of sport at a national or international level.

All nominations must be submitted to the COC by November 17, 2006. Nominations should include a detailed outline of the nominee's outstanding contributions, their career and sport achievements, as well as a collection of supporting documentation. Individuals are asked to submit their nomination by mail, fax or email to the following address:

The COC will present the winner with the award at the 2007 Congress in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
