The Burnaby Velodrome is pleased to announce its partnership with Roadie.ca to track the league‚s official race results and omnium points for the 2007 season. Starting in January, 2007, 26 weekly races, two weekend Velodrome Challenges, and the Six Days of Burnaby will be tracked through Roadie, giving viewers of the site up-to-date statistics on their favourite cyclists.

Located in the Greater Vancouver area of British Columbia, the Burnaby Velodrome is a 200m wooden track and one of only three indoor tracks in North America. This track is covered by an air-supported roof, allowing for year-round racing.

„We‚re excited about our partnership with Roadie. As the popularity and awareness of the Velodrome increases, it is important to make sure the Velodrome uses the most efficient method to communicate results to its members. Roadie offers this through its state of the art software.‰ says Glenn Barr, Six Days Race Director and member of the Burnaby Board of Directors.

Roadie‚s points tracking software is the most accurate way to track results. Roadie.ca simply enters any league‚s point schema and the results from the league‚s races then the software tracks the running points for each rider‚s results across all race leagues and provinces in one convenient website.

„Joining forces with the Burnaby Velodrome is very exciting considering we will have a chance to show our viewers just how powerful Roadie is with statistics. Our goal is to change the way grass-roots cycling events are covered in Canada, therefore, this partnership is exactly what Roadie.ca is about‰, says Jason Anson, Director of Roadie.

Roadie.ca will also be the official race results partner of the Giant Bicycles‚ Six Days of Burnaby from January 2-7, 2006 providing Live Race Coverage online at www.roadie.ca, Race Results and Omnium points for all categories participating.
