The North Shore Mountain Bike Association (NSMBA) is pleased announced their successful North Shore Bike Swap and EXPO, previously offered on the north shore at Lynn Valley Centre, is now moving indoors. Presented in conjunction with the Vancouver Outdoor Show and Bike EXPO, the NSMBA Vancouver Bike Swap is set to break all records.

Whether you are new to cycling or a veteran rider, you won't spend a fortune on quality bikes, equipment, or clothing. By shopping at the NSMBA's annual gear swap, you'll find a great place to outfit the whole family for a new season of cycling. Quality used bikes, clothing and equipment, can be found under one new roof. It is time to dig out all your unwanted gear, polish up your old bike and get ready for the biggest bike swap in Western Canada.

"Our North Shore Gear Swap has been growing both in attendees and quantity of gear, for the last three years in North Vancouver," stated Richard Juryn of Shore Events and a volunteer director of the North Shore Mountain Bike Association. "This year, we thought we should share the swap with the rest of Lower Mainland, providing great deals on bikes, shoes, clothing, and more by moving this fundraiser inside to the Outdoor Show," he added.

Customers can sell an outdated bike, swap a cycling jersey or outfit the whole family, all at the NSMBA Vancouver Gear Swap. Whether you are a Roadie, BMX'er or a Mountain Biker, this is your opportunity to clean out your garage, make some extra cash and help a worthy cause. Full Gear Swap details are now on-line at our new website at www.vancouverbikeswap.com.

This event, brought to you by Mountain Equipment Co-Op and presented by The Georgia Straight receives additional support from added sponsors NSMB.com and the Lynn Valley Centre. Proceeds generated at the swap support the efforts of volunteer trail builders and maintenance crews, while a volunteer membership and board of directors develops the associations' visibility and representation. A membership team will be at the Vancouver Outdoor Show and Bike Expo all weekend to sign up new members and collect your valued donations in support of the groups' efforts.

Next time you are enjoying the North Shore trails; think of the NSMBA, as it was probably someone from the association who made your experience a safe one. For detailed NSMBA volunteer and membership information, access our website at www.nsmba.bc.ca.
