New Foundland & Labrador

ONE BIG BNL Meeting open to all - Thursday March 22nd. BNL is putting in place a more organized committee structure this year, and we will be forming 4 committees at this meeting (MTB, Road, Marketing/Communications, and Recreastion/Advocacy). ...Info

Nova Scotia

2007 Spring/Summer CAN-BIKE courses

Halifax Recreation is offering several CAN-bike courses in the Spring and Summer program.

This includes 'Learn to ride', 'CAN-bike 1', and 'CAN-bike 2', all at Chocolate Lake Centre, starting in May and June, for youth and adults. For details see the website

May 18th to 21st: There will be 2 coaching clinics during the May 18-21 long weekend, location tbd. The planned clinics are: Level 2 Mountain, Level 2 Road. Contact BNS for more information.


Prince Edward Island

Volunteers For Tour de PEI needed. Sign up at www.tourdepei.com to volunteer for the biggest cycling event to hit PEI ever. Five stages of world class women's cycling happening from June 9 - 14.

Ontario

March 23rd to 25th: Six Days for MS at the Forest City Velodrome in London ON begin.

March 25th: The McMaster Varsity Cycling Club (MVCC) is hosting their first Cycling Symposium on Sunday March 25, 2007 at 7:00-9:00PM in the new Athletic Complex (David Braley Athletic Complex room WB 113) at McMaster University and ALL CYCLIST's are INVITED! All ages, all abilities! Only $2.00 admission.

March 30th to April 1st: Six Days for MS at the Forest City Velodrome in London ON, final 3 days.

April 1st: Uxbridge Ice Breaker in the Durham Forest, Uxbridge. The season opening 16th annual race with a mix of gravel roads, double track trails, combined with snow, ice and some mud. More information at the Bike NXS website.

April 6th: The 55th annual Good Friday Road races, hosted by the Hamilton CC. For more information go to the HCC website.

April 7th: Tom Jehlicka Memorial Crit in Cobourg. Information available Here

April 15th: Mosport Spring Classic at Mosport International Raceway in Bowmanville. Information available Here

April 16th: Midweek CC's Weekly series begins. Go to www.midweekclub.ca for location, times etc.

April 17th: Seenite Sports Criterium Series begins. Go to http://seenite.org for location, times etc.

April 19th: Durham Forest MTB Race Series begins. Go to the Bike NXS website for information.

April 20th: Trek High School Race Series begins. Go to the Bike NXS website for information.


Manitoba

April 15: Gravel Race at LaBarriere Park.

April 22nd: MTB Cup #1 at Grand Beach, organized by Olympia Cycle.

April 25th: Wednesday Night Series 1 begins at Bur Oak Trail, Birds Hill Park, organized by Olympia Cycle.

April 28th: Road Cup #1 - ITT - Western Canada Games Qualifier at Birds Hill Park

April 6th to 15th: Warm Weather Training Camp in Okanagan Falls, BC.

April 21st & 22nd: Mountain Bike NCCP Level I Technical course Regina. Fee $40. Registration deadline is April 5, 2007

April 28th: Road Racing Officials Course, Introductory Road Bike Commissaire Course in Saskatoon. Cost: $10 Registration deadline: April 19

April 29th: Sask Cup #1 Road Race in Blackstrap, hosted by Cycledelia Road Racing Club.

April 28th: Grand Prix de bici, hosted by bicisport bicycling club

April 28th: BMX Commissaire Course in Calgary. Application form at the ABA website

April 28th: Children's Bike Safety Instructor Training Course. The Edmonton Bicycle Commuters will be holding a one-day course to teach anyone how to run a basic bike safety course. Application form & contact information available on the ABA website

March 24th: Escape Velocity Spring Series Race #6 - Atomic BC Cup Course in Abbotsford. Information

March 25th: Escape Velocity Spring Series Race #7 - Aldergrove Border Crossing in Aldergrove. Information

March 31st: Escape Velocity Spring Series Race #8 - Zero Ave, in Langley. Information

April 1st: Escape Velocity Spring Series Race #9 - Murrayville Criterium. Information

Team Coastal will be hosting weekly Crits from May 3 to Aug 30 in Richmond.
