Coast Capital Savings Re-signs with Symmetrics Pro Cycling

Following a strong start to the season, highlighted by Symmetrics Cycling's Svein Tuft winning the opening prologue of the Redlands Cycling Classic in California, Canada's number one pro team is pleased to announce the re-signing of a strong supporter, Coast Capital Savings.

Coast Capital Savings, who joined the team in 2006, will continue to be a co-sponsor of the Symmetrics team for 2007 and beyond.

The involvement of Coast Capital has been a major boon to the team, Kevin Cunningham, team co-owner said. "Bringing on Coast Capital changed how we operate as a team. We have been able to up our program, allowing us to support our athletes and take them to a variety of races we simply couldn't budget for before their arrival. Coast Capital Savings is a solid Canadian company which embraces the Olympic ideals of Canadians, present and future, which is a perfect match for our team."

Symmetrics Cycling is currently in Redlands, California, for the annual Redlands Classic. Following that, Symmetrics will continue on to Virginia for the inaugural US Open Cycling championships, which will have national exposure on NBC on April 7.

Coast Capital Savings is Canada's second largest credit union with $8.2 billion in assets, 340,000 members and 47 branches across the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. The credit union was the first full-service financial institution to introduce free chequing in Canada. Coast Capital Savings is ranked among the 50 Best Employers in Canada by the Globe and Mail's Report on Business magazine in a survey conducted by Hewitt Associates. The credit union was also named by Imagine Canada for the second straight year as the best corporate citizen in Canada's financial services industry.
