3 World Cup Track Cyclists spearhead this 11-Member Team For Regional, National, and International Racing Calendar.

In 2006 the Fast Twitch cycling team proved itself to be the most successful track cycling team in Canada, with podium results in nearly every race the team competed in. In 2007 the team is excited about working closely with ATAC Clothing to continue to be a dominant force on the velodrome in Canada and the Pacific Northwest.

2006 saw the Fast Twitch cycling team bring home several National championship medals including the Canadian National Kilometre title thanks to Matt Barlee. Along with the kilometre championship, a silver and bronze at Nationals and a bronze medal in the Pan American Championships adds to the success of the team. The team looks forward to increased success in the 2007 season while providing a solid structure for the addition of our new developmental riders.

Fast Twitch Cycling riders for 2007 are:

• Keith Bruneau - Widely regarded as the Canada's best match sprint technician, Keith remains as a staple of the Fast Twitch Cycling track team. Keith's experience, talent, and vision have brought strength to the team. Keith has established himself as a rider never to be underestimated.

• Matt Barlee - Bringing World Cup and Pan American experience, Matt will once again prove himself a force on the National and International scene. Matt, coming off a strong year once again being on the podium in every event he raced in, also brings with him the Canadian National Kilometre title. Matt will continue to be driven in 2007 vying for a 2008 Olympic team position.

• Matt Chater - 2004 National Keirin champion, Matt raced in several World Cup events in 2005, culminating in his appearance at the 2005 Pan Am games in Argentina. After a mix and match of endurance racing in 2006 "Lego," has turned his focus back to the sprint events on the track with the Olympics being the goal for 2008.

• Sam Whittingham - We welcome Sam back into road and track competition. After a 3-year hiatus from competitive road and track cycling, this 2-time World Record holder (Human powered speed record 80.5mph and Human powered hour record 85.5 kilometres in one hour) brings with him a strong palmares, including local, national and international experience. Sam offers a wealth of knowledge and dedication.

• Glenn Barr - A strong road and track rider, Glenn looks to improve on his form and once again prove to be a powerhouse strongman in the Pacific Northwest criterium and track scene.

• Andy George - Two silver and two bronze medals at the 2005 World Masters Games, Andy is a solid all-rounder on the track whose age and experience bring further depth to the Fast Twitch Cycling track team.

• Danielle McLaughlin - After suffering from a serious illness in the spring of 2006, Danielle showed huge dedication and heart to come back with several wins on the local scene. Danielle looks to improve on her fitness and once again compete in various criterium and track events in the mid-west.

• Jennifer Lee - A fairly new track and criterium rider, Jen has already proven herself a force with various top 10 results including the Tour of Gastown and Giro di Burnaby. Jen looks to establish herself as a top Canadian track sprinter with World cup aspirations.

• Christian Hansen - In 2006 Christian made a return to competition after 5 years away from the sport. A frustrating 2006 saw Christian struggling to finish races not due to fitness but due to bad luck. Poised to make several strong finished saw Christian taken out in crashes several times. While struggling to win races Christian showed huge dedication to the team and tirelessly worked for his teammates to provide winning results. While balancing a solid schedule at the University of British Columbia and a race schedule Christian is still looking forward to improving on his strong performances in 2006.

• Chris Anstey - The most senior of the Masters riders, Chris is the 2004 World Champion in his age category, and claimed 4 gold medals at the 2005 World Masters Games.

• Mike Lawrence - A newcomer to the track is looking forward to developing into a strong sprint specialist. Mike has already shown great aptitude for track cycling. His experience while representing Nova Scotia in the Canada Games will only help him develop and mature as a strong sprinter.

• Lesley Whyte - Also a newcomer to the track scene, Lesley is looking forward to learning from some of the best track cyclist in Canada and to develop herself as a track sprinter. Lesley brings intense drive and dedication for her sport.
