Lots Happening Today...

As well as the Sea Otter Classic (road and mtb), there is also the Milan-San Remo and Women's World Cup #3 (Primavera Rosa) races happening in Italy. So expect a stream of updates all day.

Currently at Milan-San Remo, there is a breakaway of 3 riders (Francisco Cerezo Perales (Vitalicio Seguros), Robert Hunter (Lampre) and Marco Antonio Di Renzo (Cantina Tollo)), who have been out in front since the 44 kilometre mark. Their lead reached a maximum of twelve and a half minutes, but is down to just over four minutes at the 210 kilometre mark (84 kilometres to go).

Flash!

Sara Felloni of Italy has won the 118 kilometre Primavera Rosa in front of Gabriella Pregnolato (Ita) and Chantal Beltman (Ned). The winning time was 3:02:52. More to follow.

Langton in Points Jersey at Sea Otter

Team Elita's Kim Langton is wearing the Points Jersey at the Sea Otter Classic stage race after yesterday's stage, when she won both points sprints. We are trying for more information, but the organizers are NOT very organized...

Frostbite Mtb Race, Ontario

Sun. Mar. 21 is the 9th annual Frostbite festival. The fun begins at 9 am ( sign - in from 7:30 am ), with a post race party to follow in the clubhouse. To get there go North on the 400 or 404 and get off at Davis Dr. ( Hwy 9 ) and proceed to Yonge St. ( Hwy. 11 ) in Newmarket. Head north to the Holland Landing Rd. and turn right. At the bottom of the hill bear right and proceed north again ( 5 min. ) to Cedar St. and turn right. Look for the Snowmobile clubhouse at the end of the street.

This is a citizens event and is suitable for any level of rider. The trails are groomed and well marked. The race will be scored cyclocross style ( 90 min. - most laps wins ). Studded tires are permitted, although the trail is not as icy this year as in years past. For the more novice riders - platform or BMX style pedals are recommended.

Will Eric once again get his name on the famous "Snowman trophy"? Come on out and find out. Lots of fun.
