It is with great pleasure the National Cycling Centre – Atlantic Canada announces Sheila Colbourne as its Technical Director. The creation of this position is due to the partnership with Velo NB. Sheila has a great background in the world of cycling and fits the two organizations’ philosophy very well.

“The Centre’s getting bigger and bigger every year and it’s important to have someone to take care of its administration and event management. By combining with our provincial organization, Velo NB, it enabled us both to create this full time position with the necessary benefits to get someone of Sheila’s quality;” comments Luc Arseneau, the Centre’s Head Coach.

Sheila Colbourne’s background in cycling is a very positive one. Along the years, she represented her home province, Newfoundland, at the Canada Games, she was chair of Bicycle Nova Scotia, and also worked as Technical Director with the Ontario Cycling Association.

For Velo NB, her experience will also be of major benefit: “Sheila has been active on the Atlantic cycling scene for some time. Her enthusiasm and professional qualifications and this partnership with the Centre promise great things for cycling in Atlantic Canada,” comments Kelly Murray, newly appointed chair of the association.
