First Annual O'Symetric Grand Prix

On July 22nd, the municipality of Saint-Joachim will play host to more than 300 cyclists for the first ever O,SYMETRIC Grand Prix.

With distances ranging from 65 to 130km the 5 race event will be sure to offer a very good show. The 8.5km circuit on the Cap Tourmente road will allow spectators to view the peloton many times. The start and the finish are in front of the City Hall to provide the best viewing for spectators (the Senior Men's race will have a different finish).

On the last lap, the racers will continue on Avenue Royale instead of Trait Carré. Racers will then challenge a difficult 2.5 km ascent of 7% average. The steep sections of this ascent will surely occasion an exciting end of the race. Furthermore, there is going to be a 'Subway Sprint' classification at mid-race.

Le 22 juillet prochain, la municipalité de Saint-Joachim accueillera plus de 300 cyclistes à l'occasion du premier Grand Prix O,SYMETRIC. De 65 à 130km, les 5 courses au programme promettent d'offrir tout un spectacle. Le circuit de 8,5km empruntant le chemin du Cap-Tourmente permet aux spectateurs de voir les cyclistes à plusieurs reprises. Le départ et l'arrivée auront lieu devant l'hôtel de ville de Saint-Joachim. La course senior quant à elle se terminera au sommet de l'Avenue Royale. Anciennement appelée côte de la Miche, cette dernière ascension provoquera des écarts significatifs au sein du peloton et assurera une fin de course à rebondissements. De plus, il y aura les sprints Subway de mi-course pour toutes les catégories. Le Grand Prix O,SYMETRIC 2007, un rendez-vous cycliste à ne pas manquer!
