BIKE MECHANIC WANTED

Hardwood Hills Cross Country Ski & Mountain Bike Centre is looking for an experienced bike mechanic to join its busy service team. You have at least five years experience repairing and maintaining mountain bikes, as well as road bikes and you work well under pressure. You can handle rebuilding wheels and suspension repairs as easily as basic drive train and brake. Experience in a bike retail environment would be an asset.

This is a full time seasonal position, with the possibility of year round employment if you have some experience as a cross country ski technician or are willing to be trained. Hardwood offers a friendly, active work environment with access to some of the best trails in Ontario.

Enter a 4-person team (all male, all female, co-ed, corporate, bike industry team) or ride solo for a three hour time trial on a 3-km twisted urban trail circuit in the heart of Vancouver! Each team racer will ride 3 consecutive laps in the same riding order thoughout the entire race. Way fun!!!

Sign-on/late registration opens at start/finish area

0900 HEAT 1:
* All riders in Heat 1 should consider themselves as beginner or sport level riders.
* Solo racers begin
* Team racers: all male, all female, co-ed, school challenge, under 19

1300 HEAT 2:
* All riders in Heat 2 should consider themselves as expert or pro level riders.
* Solo racers begin
* Team racers: all male, all female, co-ed, Bike-Industry
   Pro-Teams, under 19

1400 Heat 1 awards

1700 Heat 2 awards

1700 Post Event Party, TBA

Important Note:
Teams are composed of 4 people from the same heat category. All 4 members of a team must submit registration forms together to receive pre-reg price of $90. Cycling BC categories do not apply and no points will be awarded for this event. Bike Industry Pro Teams' entry fees will go directly into EMP's Trail Enhancement Fund.
