Today was the first stage of the UCI 2.2 Tour Cycliste Feminin International de l'Ardeche in France. 109 riders took the start of the 111.5 kilometres stage. Alex Wrubleski was fourth in a bunch sprint behind the winner, Diana Ziluite of Safi Pasta. Brooke Miller of USA was second.

Leigh Hobson, Alison Testroete, Erinne Willock and Julie Beveridge managed to finished in the main group, 13 seconds behind the leaders. Moriah Jo McGregor had a little bit of problem due to illness, but should ok tommorrow. She was 97th at 8:43.

Tommorrow morning, the riders face an individual time trial of 9.2 kilometres, followed in the afternoon by a road race of 96.2 kilometres. All the Canadians are pretty confident to do well and, with more time to acclimatise themselves, we should see some interesting results in the TT.
