Tour de l'Ardeche - France

While the Canadian U23 men are racing at the Tour de l'Avenir, Canada's women are at the Tour de l'Ardeche. After this morning's time trial, Alex Wrubleski had moved into third overall, and maintains that spot after the second stage of the day, according team manager Vincent Jourdain.

In the second half stage of the day, a 96.2 km race from Val les Bains to Cruas, Alex Wrubleski got 8th and is still in 3rd place at the GC. Brooke Miller from the USA won the race. The US team did a good job to keep everything together and worked well together to set up the final sprint.

All the Canadians finished in the main field with the exception of Moriah Jo McGregor, who had a difficult day, finishing 23:15 behind. Julie Beveridge, a first year Junior, had a bad crash in the descent of the last col, and will keep souvenir from Ardeche with 5 stiches on her elbow. She will be able to start tommorrow.

Wrubleski is still leading the Young Rider jersey competition, while Leigh Hobson scored second in the final GPM (1st category) climb and is now sitting in 4th place in the mountain classification.
