Keen eyes may have noticed a new name racing for the Ride with Rendall cycling team.

Ride with Rendall has stepped forward to provide financial support for Canadian cyclocross champion Greg Reain in his 2007/2008 season campaign. Along with RWR, the newly certified Colnago store Greg Christie's Cycleworks, based in Chelsea, Quebec, will also be supporting Rein by providing him with a Colnago cross bike and race wheels. Other sponsors include Time, Mavic, and Colnago.

The support package was put together by the Ride with Rendall cycling club and Greg Christie's when they learned that Rein's earlier sponsorship deals for the cross season had fallen through.

"Sometimes situations present themselves that are just wrong. No matter how they happened, no matter what the instances are that made them happen, sometimes you just need to stand up and fix it if you can. You need to do the right thing and put the jersey back in the race ... You need to help someone out when you see that they are struggling. Greg's a racer and he needs to do just that," says Glen Rendall, president of Ride with Rendall.
