National Sales Manager Opportunity - Sports Nutrition
PHLI the makers of Accelerade, Endurox R4, and Accel Gel are looking to fill this new position.
Summary of Responsibilities
Achieve sales objectives and also generate new business within the powdered sports drink, gel and supplement markets. Sales objectives are to attain or exceed current and long-term sales and profit goals in accordance with company sales plans, programs, and budgets. This will also include communicating information on account and competitive activities to other sales and sales management personnel and provide effective service to assigned customers.
Achieve sales volume goals by focusing on the top 10 metro markets.
Implement sales and marketing strategy similar to what has been successful in the US.
Identify and develop new sports retail accounts by focusing on cycling, triathlon, running and accounts that primarily cater to endurance athletes.
Product distribution also needs to be increased in health/fitness and drug retail outlets.
Develop and implement account specific business plans to ensure the optimal level of success in distribution, display, pricing and promotional support.
Communicate with sales people, broker personnel, and distributors to ensure the successful implementation of the business plan.
Contact accounts on a planned regular basis.
Work with sales people, broker personnel, and distributors to develop call schedule and execute business plan.
Develop, implement, and monitor promotional activities at the account level that are consistent with established guidelines.
Provide accurate forecasts based on analysis of past performance and account specific data.
7+ years of selling and management experience.
Bachelor degree preferred.
Strong negotiation skills.
Effective planning, organizational, interpersonal, speaking and writing skills required.
This position will require extensive travel, including calling on specific accounts, attending trade shows, meetings, and athletic events. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership ability, excellent written and verbal communication skills, proven success managing projects, and experience working in a team environment.
