EDS Track Series - #2 - Texas

Tanya Dubnicoff won something called the "Chariot Race", and finished third in the women's Sprint, behind fellow Canadian Lori Ann Muenzer. B.C.'s Andrea Hannos was third in the women's Points Race.


Beauchamp Third at Gila

Joseé has let us know that Sylvain Beauchamp (Shaklee) is currently third in the General Classification, with one stage to go.


Tour de l'Aude, France

The Tour de l'Aude begins today, with numerous Canadians participating. This has always been a somewhat difficult race to get reliable information from, but we'll do our best.


The Citadel Charge!

June 25-27, 1999

What: The world's first officiated 100 meter UPHILL sprint for runners and cyclists

When: June 27, 1999 (Finals) Elimination trials start Friday, June 25th.

Where: Halifax, Nova Scotia, on the Rainnie Drive Exit road of theHalifax Citadel National Historic Site.

How: Time trials will begin on Friday, June 25 and elimination trials will continue through Saturday for both divisions. Finishing times will be recorded by video recording/timing equipment to give extremely accurate results.

Who: This event is organized by the Citadel Charge Association, a non-profit group. It is a sanctioned joint event of Athletics Nova Scotia (The Provincial Track and Field Organization), Run Nova Scotia (The Provincial recreational runners' organization) and Bicycle Nova Scotia (The Provincial cycling organization) with support from the Halifax Citadel Regimental Association.

The Halifax Citadel National Historic Site is providing the Rainnie Drive Exit Road to the Association for the purposes of the race. This arrow-straight roadway has a very consistent incline and is wide enough for six running lanes or three cycling lanes.

Participants will compete acccording to:

Division: Runners or Cyclists
Gender (male or female)
Age Groups

There will be an additional concurrent divison for teams of four (male, female, and 2 male-2 female teams) for corporate or institutional teams. START PUTTING YOUR TEAM TOGETHER NOW!
