West Coast Racing 2008

Looking for an exciting new cycling club to ride with this year?

Vancouver's newest cycling club, West Coast Racing, offers something for all cyclists. West Coast Racing (WCR) is the result of a merger between Krebs Cycle Club (founded mid-nineties) and West Coast Mountain Bike Club, two clubs that have deep roots in the lower mainland. We are a diverse group of cyclists, however the majority of our group is mountain bikers. Our members' ride and race on the trails for fun and at a more serious level all the way up to the national stage.

Below is a summary of our initiatives and benefits:

1. Youth Mandate. Every club has a reason for being. Ours is about giving back to future generations and rejuvenating the sport we love. We have some big plans to get youth involved in racing and in the process helping them grow and become the next generation of 2 wheel advocates. Interested, why not join and help us out??

2. XC Mountain Bike Race for Metro Vancouver: Not your typical North shore Bridle Path scramble. WCR is going to be bringing something new and possibly something old back to XC racing in the Metro area. No need to head out of town, racing is making a comeback somewhere in Metro. Stay tuned for more details.

3. Want to get faster? Join our yearly coached workouts and group rides??? Why not join our Indoor spin sessions and then head outdoors in the spring and join us for our very popular 'Power Training'. We offer access to coached workouts and group rides almost all year on a regular basis.

4. Cyclocross anyone?? WCR has organized the very popular Vanier Park Cross Classic for the last 4 years and we are planning on holding it again in 2008.

If you are interested in joining a friendly group of people who love to race, train and ride for fun, check out our website for more details at www.westcoastracing.ca.
