Service Technician Required in Montreal

Outdoor Gear Canada, a leading distributor of bicycles and parts and accessories is seeking a Warranty Service technician at it‚s Montreal warehouse. The successful candidate will be answering technical inquires regarding OGC products as well as helping with actual product repairs. The candidate will also be sharing responsibility with the manager to make sure the service shop is running smoothly. This position is for a well-organized individual with strong communication skills, good at following up on things, energetic. Bike mechanical skills are essential. Bike Mechanic (Technician II) at MEC Vancouver Store

Purpose

• To assemble and repair bicycles as well as assist members requiring service in the bicycle shop area. The Technician II may also take on the responsibilities of a ski technician

What you'll be doing

• Assembling, maintaining and repairing bicycles within MEC's productivity, quality, and safety guidelines
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment that meets visual presentation standards
• Contributing to exceptional member service by conducting activities outlined in frontline job description when needed
• Mentoring and training frontline staff on bike repair processes and procedures
• Considering MEC's sustainability principles when making decisions and actions
• Ad hoc projects as by the Store Manager

What you need to do it well

• 6 months ˆ 1 year cycling maintenance and repair experience in bike shop
• Passion for cycling and bikes
• Mechanical aptitude
• Solid communication skills
• A strong desire to help people
• A positive attitude
• The time to work a variety of shifts from Monday to Sunday
