Georgia Announces Teams for 2008 Edition

It is official - Symmetrics will be racing the Tour de Georgia next month, one of 15 teams to be selected. There will be five ProTour squads, plus a selection of Continental Pro and Continental squads. Significantly, Rock Racing is missing - possibly a reflection of the loss of Mario Cipollini, or more likely as a way for organizers to avoid the public relations problems the Amgen Tour of California faced when they wouldn't allow Tyler Hamilton, Santiago Botero or Oscar Sevilla to start.
