Today was the last day for training, and the Track Worlds begin tomorrow afternoon with the qualifying for the men's Individual Pursuit, followed by an evening session for the finals in the women's 500m TT, men's Individual Pursuit, men's Team Sprint and men's Scratch race. Canada has one competitor tomorrow - Martin Gilbert in the Scratch Race.

On Thursday, the Team Pursuit (men), women's Individual Pursuit, men's Sprint and women's Team Sprint will take place, with Canada's Tara Whitten competing in the Individual Pursuit and Travis Smith in the Sprint.

On Friday it is the turn for the women's Sprint, women's Team Pursuit, men's Points Race and the final rounds of the men's Sprint. Canada has Zach Bell in the Points Race and (fingers crossed) potentially Travis Smith in the men's Sprint.

Saturday brings us the final rounds for the women's Sprint, the men's Keirin, the women's Points Race and the men's Madison. Canada will have Gina Grain in the Points Race and Gilbert and Ryan Mckenzie for the Madison.

On the final day of racing, Sunday, the men will do the Omnium (200m TT, Scratch Race, Individual Pursuit, Points Race and Kilo), the women's Keirin and the women's Scratch Race. Grain will do the Scratch and probably Bell the Omnium (still to be confirmed).

We will be providing coverage throughout, with results, stories, photos and video interviews. Stay tuned, starting tomorrow.

Race Notes

- There are two other Canadians worthy of mention here at the Worlds: Wayne Pomario, who is the President of the College of Commissaires, and Gord Singleton, 1982 Keirin world champion, plus Masters world champ in 1998 and 2006. We will be posting a video interview with Gord shortly.
