Pound Loses CAS Presidency Election

Montreal lawyer Dick Pound did not win the position of President of the Court of Abritration for Sport, with the spot going to Italian lawyer Mino Auletta after a vote yesterday. Pound, who is the former President of WADA (World Anti-doping Agency) was the first to put his name forward for the position, which eventually attracted four candidates. Auletta has been the acting President since the death of founding President Keba Mbaye a 15 months ago. Pound will continue to serve as a member of the Court.
