The Arduum Challenge is back this year with a vengeance. Last year's race was an absolute mudfest, and an absolute blast. In a short amount of time we organized a race and pulled off a very exciting event. I don't know of anyone that didn't get worked over riding the course and still come out grinning from ear to ear. Check out last year's race coverage.

The course builders have been working their tails off all winter long to ready the course for the year's race. One week even had Ewan shoveling snow out of a section so it could be worked on. That's some true dedication right there.

The entire track has been tweaked and polished this year, and promises to be faster and more intense with more rocks, more roots and more all around nastiness. There are a few new features, and a few more will likely be appearing before race day.

If you're a downhill racer, this is one event you just can't afford to miss. Cycling BC has given the course 2 thumbs up and this will be a sanctioned BC Cup points race.

The Ardum Challenge is held in Mission on Red Mountain, across the street from the long standing BCCup event, Bear Mountain Challenge

Registration opened April 23 at 9:00am, check out the details at www.arduumchallenge.com and register online at www.karelo.com
