Road Nationals Updates

We have received unofficial word that the organizers will be allowing Junior and Masters registration on site on Saturday (June 26th), for the Road Races that day. All other events and categories will have to pick up their race packets on the 22nd (as per usual). This means that the many racers (particularly in the Masters categories) who are racing only the Road Race will be able to show up the morning of the event. We are awaiting official confirmation, and will post it when it comes in later today.

We got snowed under with registrations over the last few days, and are now just about caught up. If you have registered online, you should receive a confirmation e-mail later today. If you have not yet registered, just a reminder: the online registration service ends June 20th...

Kids of Mud - Race #5
(courtesy Dave Benson)

The fifth race in the Kids of Mud Series was held at Springhill Winter Park on the evening of June 15 under near perfect weather conditions. Special red flagging tape was required in certain sections of the course because the prairie vegetation had grown so tall the course was obscured, and we were afraid we would lose some of the younger riders in the tall grass! It was a relatively light turnout tonight, as many racers were home studying for exams. However, those present created a close race, with lead changes evident as a result of a few crashes - thanks to that tall grass!
