Provincial Cancer Foundations & Hospitals Join In Pan-Canadian Cancer Effort

WHAT: The Princess Margaret, the Jewish General Hospital, the Alberta Cancer Foundation and the BC Cancer Foundation are launching a ground-breaking event in Ontario, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia. The launch will be part of a nationwide effort, to conquer cancer - conquercancer.ca. All kickoff events will take place on the same day, at the same time.

Artists and various members from all of the communities have been busy painting bikes to commemorate friends lost to cancer, which will be displayed as organizers launch this epic cycling event.

WHO: Lori-Ann Muenzer, 2004 Olympic gold medalist and the first Canadian to bring home a gold medal in cycling (Calgary)

Steve Bauer, Olympic silver medalist and former Tour de France leader (Toronto)
