Juan de Fuca Velodrome Gets Reprieve?

Lister Farrar has sent us the following information on the Juan de Fuca velodrome situation in Victoria.

The Victoria Times Colonist carried a story on Wednesday (November 19th) saying the municipality of Langford is tired of waiting for the stadium proposed for the velodrome site, and is going ahead with its own stadium - see story Here. The municipality is planning to host the tenants discussed for the Juan de Fuca stadium. Langford is a partner in the Westshore Parks and Recreation Society that owns and was planning to replace the velodrome with a soccer, football, and rugby stadium.

I think this is pretty big news for the survival of the velodrome. It means that a facility is being built less than 2 kilometres away from the Juan de Fuca site, and all the proposed tenants will be able to use the new stadium.
