Women's Only Track Camp
January 2-4, 2009

British Columbia and the Burnaby Velodrome has a proud history of producing some of Canada's top female track racers. Our riders have won World Championships medals, World Cups, and represented Canada at some of the largest track events over the world including the Olympic Games. To continue this trend and further the next wave of top female track riders the Burnaby Velodrome will be hosting a women's only training camp to ring in the new year running from January 2-4, 2009.

While this will be run in conjunction with the BC Women's Development Team program it will be a separate independent entity. Riders will be on track for 3 hours each day and our prerequisite for attending is that you must have track riding and preferably racing experience. Camp will be run January 2nd, 1-4pm, January 3rd, 1-4pm, and January 4th 10am-1pm and is open to Jr age riders and above as well as non-BC riders. There will be a maximum of 18 riders at the camp and a fee of $100 to cover the entire camp including rental bikes if needed. Must be paid in advance. All riders interested riders should make application or further enquiries by email to: jeremy@burnabyvelodrome.ca

Goals of this training camp
• The goal of this camp will be to provide a solid three days of track training, both skill and fitness oriented, in a non-intimidating women's only environment.
• To provide cross over skills and fitness to other cycling disciplines
• Work in conjunction with the 2009 BC Women's Development Team program to identify talent.
