The Trek Red Truck Racing team presented by Mosaic Homes is pleased to announce that Matt Barth has accepted the position of Team Manager for the upcoming 2009 season, and former Symmetrics standout Marsh Cooper has joined the team.

Matt became involved in cycling in 1992, and competed in Europe and North America for nearly a decade. Upon retiring from competitive cycling, Matt started a Specialties Metal Design Build Company (Vertex Urban Equipment) servicing the construction industry in Western Canada. He is the former Team Manager of the Symmetrics Cycling Team and will provide an invaluable role in the team's plans for the upcoming season.

Team Director Steve Engh, commented "as a former rider and fixture in the local cycling scene, Matt brings experience, knowledge, and a passion to excel to our program and we are very excited that he has accepted the position of Team Manager to oversee this year's talented group of young riders."

The team has also bolstered its already strong lineup with the recent signing of Marsh Cooper, who was a mainstay and a workhorse for a number of years for the very successful Symmetrics team.

The team will be conducting a Spring training camp in early March in Santa Rosa, California in preparation for the start of the season.
