Armstrong Testing Bikes on L.A. Track

It looks like Lance Armstrong is getting more serious about possibly going for the world hour record. He was caught on camera by an amateur videographer at the ADT Centre in Los Angeles yesterday testing track bikes, with Astana Directeur Sportif Johann Bruyneel and coach Chris Carmichael in attendance. There was also a camera crew filming the session and talking to Armstrong and others. Armstrong did laps on both a standard track bike and an aero time trial bike. The video, posted on Youtube by "29000Men", is linked below.

Armstrong has made a number of comments in recent months about attempting to break the 2005 record of Czech rider Ondrej Sosenka for 49.700 kilometres covered in one hour on a 'traditional' bike. He could also be considering going after Chris Boardman's 56.375 kilometre record for the "Absolute Hour Record", set using aerodynamic equipment in 1996, since he practiced on a time trial bike as well.
