Canmore Canada Cup Update

According to our eyes on the ground Greg Flaaten at the Canmore Canada Cup #4, there are some good battles shaping up in the pro men's and women's races, as the riders get ready to start their last laps (5 for the men, 4 for the women). Chris sheppard and roland Green are riding together at the front of the field in the men's race, 40 seconds in front of Canada Cup leader Peter Wedge, with Ryder Hesjedal at 1:20, and Eric Tourville and Craig Gordon way back at 3:00. For the first two laps the first four were quite close to each other, but Sheppard and Green have opened it up a fair bit in the last lap.

Melanie Dorion is riding just in front of Marie-Helene Premont as the women finish their third lap. For the first two laps it was Dorion and Melanie McQuaid together, before McQuaid dropped back (currently in 5th). Amber Chorney is holding down 3rd, with Trish Sinclair 4th.

Late News: halfway through the last lap, Chris Sheppard has opened a huge gap on Roland Green - 1:15. Wedge is catching Green from behind. in the women's race, Premont has dropped Dorion and is trying to stay away for the win.
