Registration is now open for individual cyclists and teams for the fourth annual Alexian Brothers Tour of Elk Grove, July 31st - August 1st, in the Chicago suburb of Elk Grove Village.

Tour of Elk Grove's total prize purse is nearly $200,000 with more than $152,000 in prize money for the Men's Pro Three-Stage tour. This is the largest prize purse for a men's 3-day, 3-stage pro race in the world!

Tour of Elk Grove features a total of 15 amateur and professional races and is on this year's U.S. National Racing Calendar. In addition, USA Cycling recently ranked Tour of Elk Grove as the Number One Tour in the U.S. among the 35-plus NRC races. It received top scores for, among other attributes: Management Experience; Timing/Scoring; Venue Quality; Quality of Course; and Prize List.

* The weekend of racing kicks off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday with Stage 1 of the 3-Stage Men's Pro Race - a 4.5 mile Time Trial with a total prize purse of $13,500.
* Stage 2 of the 3-Stage Men's Pro Race is the 150K Road Race at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. It boasts a total prize purse of $40,000. (Stage 3 of the Men's Pro Race - a 110K Criterium with a $35,000 prize purse - will be held at 2:45 p.m. on Sunday.)
* The TOTAL prize purse for the 3-Stage Men's Pro Race is a staggering $152,500. And the prize for the overall 3-Stage champion is a whopping $25,000 - the largest in the world!
* Also in 2009: The Men's Elite Category 1/2 features races on both Saturday and Sunday and a total of $22,000 in prize money.
