Team H&R Block-Kona is looking for a passionate cycling enthusiast to fill the role of Team Manager and possibly Directeur Sportif or assistant Directeur Sportif, depending on the applicant. The primary function of the position is as Team Manager and includes the daily operations of the team consisting of but not limited to logistics, race registration, rider accommodation and transportation co-ordination, applicable budgets, pit storage/logistics/set up, working with marketing partners including ordering parts, website content, public relations and race day support including feed support. Bicycle mechanic skills beneficial. If suitable, the same person could take on Directeur Sportif or assistant functions. These consist of overall direction of the riders, rider mentoring, race day strategy, pre and post race discussions, race calendar and input on rider selections. This position will work directly with the Board of Directors.
The ideal candidate will reside in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia during the race season, but other locations may be considered. This is a part time position with more work required during the racing season. Expenses are covered while travelling with the Team. Salary will be dependent on experience and duties performed. This is a great opportunity to be the manager of a major Canadian cycling team.
Team H&R Block-Kona is a semi-pro racing team committed to promoting the sport of cycling across Canada. The Team races at the elite level through focusing on the development of young riders so that they can achieve their dreams of competing at the highest levels of the sport. The Team is dedicated to supporting riders - many of whom have competed and won National Championships, Provincial Championships, and numerous other events across Canada and the U.S, and who aspire to race and compete across North America and internationally. The roster of young riders currently boasts National Team members and Provincial Champions.
