There is an opportunity for Canadian riders to race with team Tour de Quebec at the 45th Vuelta a Costa Rica. Following last year participation at the Vuelta, the team has been re-invited to the event and is now looking for 2 Canadian riders to complete the roster of 9 riders.

The race starts on December 16th and finishes on the 28th, with a rest day on the 24th. The first stages are flat, with mountain stages after few days of racing.

Last year, Canadian Phil Cortes, who usually races for the Italian squad Amore & Vita, won stage 6 after an impressive breakaway on the 180 kilometre stage. Phil is back this year and very motivated for the upcoming race.

The team will be once again professionally supported by Marc Dufour and Émilie Roy of Groupe Centrifuge.

Cyclists interested in the challenge need to contact team@tourdequebec.com as soon as possible.

Title team sponsorship for this event is available and should bring a lot of exposure. Last year, the team was featured 2-3 times in Quebec's newspapers. The team will send daily updates to all major Canadian cycling websites and local newspapers. Riders interviews, pictures and much more will be posted on the Youtube and Facebook accounts.

The race is broadcast live on two different television channels, the radio and the local newspapers. Last year, crowds were incomparable to any cycling event in Canada, with thousands of spectators. If interested in team sponsorship, contact team@tourdequebec.com.
