November 9/09 9:44 am - Start the New Year Off at the Burnaby Velodrome

Clear out the New Years eve cobwebs the fast way. On Saturday January 2nd and Sunday January 3rd the Burnaby Velodrome Club will host two days of racing at the Burnaby Velodrome. Building will be open at 9 AM and racing will commence at 10:30 am sharp and run until 3:30 pm each day.

The program will consist exclusively of Mass Start races ( points races, scratch races, Madison’s ) and short heat oriented sprint events (Chariot races and keirins ) as well as Team Pursuits and Team Sprints. There will be A,B,C and Novice race categories. Entry fee will be $15/day but you must have your 2010 international race licence if you are from the US or regional or international licence from Canada.

A minimal prize purse will be on offer (after expenses are covered). There will be NO pre registration and sign up will be on the day only ending at 10 AM.  Running in conjunction with this two day race will be a Madison clinic to be held in early to mid December.
