March 1/10 15:26 pm - Riders Wanted for Ontario Women's Developmental Cycling Team

Posted by Editor on 03/1/10

A brand new Ontario women's developmental cycling team is looking for two more female racers to add to their roster. Catering towards Juniors, Cat. 3/4 and Master women, this team is a great stepping-stone for any woman interested in taking her cycling to the next level.

We are looking for riders who are team players, interested in having teammates, interested in the cycling community and promoting the sport. We are looking for people committed to training and racing in 2010.

This team wishes to provide encouragement and support to its new team members to help make it easier for them to reach their goals and to have success in competitive cycling.

The team hopes to assist team riders with some expenses including licence fees, some clothing, some nutrition, some race fees and some equipment discounts. We hope to arrange group trips to the harder to reach events for team members.

A commitment to participating in a minimum of six Ontario Cup road series events (including Road Provincials and Provincial Time Trial) is required from each team member.

Some blogging duties will be required by team members. Some attendance at team events may also be required.

If you are interested in being part of this team, or know of someone who qualifies, please send a letter indicated your/their level of interest, training and racing goals and summary of cycling experience to the email address below.

If you blog already, please provide a link to your blog or website. If you contribute to other cycling-related activities, please let us know about it. Please provide a list of your other interests if you think they will support your application. Please include with that letter a letter from your coach or another cyclist supporting your statements.

Please email your inquiries to racerswanted@gmail.com.
