As both the men and women enter their last lap, this is the situation: Chrissy Redden leads Lesley tomlinson by 55 seconds, with McQuaid dropping into third at 1:17. Melanie Dorion has moved into fourth, 20 seconds behind McQuaid, with Trish Sinclair 5th. In the mens race, the lead has switched again, with Eric Tourville 21 seconds ahead of Australian national team rider Craig Gordon. Georges Visser is in third, a further 13 seconds back, with McGrath, Wedge and Geoff Kabush 1:17 from the leader. This is the last report until after the race, as we go and get post-race interviews.
