Lorne "Ace" Atkinson, elder statesman of Vancouver cycling, a Canadian Olympian and BC Sports Hall of Fame member, died Friday April 23rd at the age of 88. He rode for Canada at the first postwar Olympics in 1948 and the British Commonwealth Games in 1954.
